I bought arexx for my A2000 back when I first got it, I think in 1988. I got the manual and the disk and had to install it when I started buying graphics programs that required it. I don't know what the legalities are about sharing the program or anything but if someone could tell me that it's okay, like the author okays it's distribution as freeware, I'd be willing to dig it out and upload it somewhere. The A2K was running os 1.3, still is actually. My wife needs 1.3 to run certain games she's fond of. :-P

When I first started using the Amiga to make animations I was really turned on by the multitasking and then I started using progs that used arexx and that knocked my socks off. For instance, Digipaint had an arexx port and somebody built a kind of shell for it called Digimate that allowed you to create animations from within Digipaint, a program which had nice painterly features, but no animation. Digimate worked great. There were similar shells for other programs using arexx. Animation Station used its arexx port to acquire Art Department Pro capabilities to sepia tone frames of an animation, which I used to make a 'flashback' sequence in one anim. All of this was done under 1.3 with arexx purchased as a separate program. I think it cost like $30 or something...So it was available back then before it got sucked into the os release. Remember the ARP libraries? Same sort of story...
