He has already reached the max posts per year and can resume in 2012.

Sadly not, he keeps putting up "Open Letter" threads aimed at Wayne specifically and the Moderators more generally. They're pretty whiny stuff that amount to "Baaaaaawwwww".

And so keep getting deleted.

Got one ta.

And in answer to your question

Quote from: Franko;645181

Why were both of these threads deleted ?

Uhuh...

At a guess...

I actually have no beef with yourself, it seems to be the other way round from your posts of recent days that you have a some sort of beef with me for some reason.

If you can't understand why I might take issue with some of the things you have said not only to me but to people I'm friends with then I can't really help you on that.

Quote from: Franko;645211

As you quoted the TOS, then Wayne is clearly violating them with his posts directed at me personally.

That's what the report abuse button is for.

Quote from: Franko;645211

But as long as this situation goes on then I'll make it clear by whatever means that this is unfair and I'm not happy with it... ;)

Try putting your open message in the sock drawer. Seems to me that section was practically born for such things. As for it being unfair, in my 30 years of life if there is one thing I have learned time and time again is that life is unfair.

I have only ever responded to you in the same manner in which you posted things about me (the past couple of days being a prime example).

Very nice, except the above is utter bunkum my old fruit. You previously dismissed your attacks against me as "humour" and in fact have done that to a good few folk on here "oh I didn't mean anything by it, they just don't get my sense of humour".

Quote from: Franko;645225

As for you claiming because certain folk are your friends then that just a cop out, I don't ask folk to defend me and quite often ask them to keep out of it if I have a disagreement with someone.

They didn't ask either, thing is about friendship, they don't have to. Whether you feel that that is a cop out is your issue, not mine.

Quote from: Franko;645225

While I don't like to use that button, I have been forced to in recent days and on a number of occasion it a has been ignored despite being sent on more than one occasion for the same post.

Which just goes to prove my point about certain bias being shown here.

Nothing to do with the people running this site taking a dim view of your attempt to blackmail this site into doing your bidding then eh? Nosir!

Look... I know I cant understand things very well and that's why I always resort to dismissing them out of hand with my predictably unpleasant and demeaning replies that just like every thing else I post is down to my lack of intelligence and inability to give a straight and reasonable answer.

Oh hey, that works too!

You go after people with whom you disagree, you make "humourous" comments about them, await the inevitable response and then go at it, anyone who challenges you and you play the victim. Great, it's top drawer trolling and major kudos for it.

Quote from: Franko;645231

Gawd... you are dumb "Blackmail" what the frig are you on

Forgotten already have you? Allow me to refresh your memory:

Quote from: Franko;644743

You see Wayne it's idiots like you with your petty vendettas and just plain hatred that stop folk like me from donating to this great site, when they are at the whim of some crazy old man who's only aim is to bring this site down out of spite because you have obviously fell off the deep end... there is one main thing this site could really do without and that is you Wayne...

Or, put more plainly: If someone doesn't get rid of Wayne I won't donate no more!

Perhaps extortion might have been a better description. That or spitting your dummy out because you can't get what you want...

Btw, re-reading that thread, you have absolutely nothing to complain about given some of the stuff that has been left on there. Both you and Wayne had posts moderated in that thread too.

Quote from: Franko;645268

Citations, don't need any, this isn't a court of law you know...

Oh no you don't. You've made some pretty severe accusations of illegality on several occasions now. No matter which way you swing it, if you are genuine about being "fair" and having fought so hard for justice then you have a moral responsibility if nothing else, to prove what you're saying is true for the sake of others on this site.

Or, you can continue as you are and come to be known as a liar.

Quote from: Franko;645268

I'll gladly knock it off if you will and if you ever jog your memory then get back to me and I'll gladly speak to you about it in private if you like via PM or email... :)

Even looking at your facebook profile, assuming the image in the top left is of you, I'm damned certain I've never met or spoken to you before you popped up on this forum.

is simply stated

And implied a great deal more.

Quote from: Franko;645279

So if anyone is making accusations then ask your so called friends you used to hang around with at certain south of England Amiga meets...

Uhuh. Hate to break it to you, but I've never been to any southern Amiga meet. Not a one. In fact the only amiga meets I've ever been to were a couple of SCAG (as it was) meets in Skittyhorpe and once to an ALTWoa meeting with Karlos and GadgetMaster which was in Peterborough.

So yeah. Like I said, you got nothing.

Quote from: Franko;645279

Yes that is me and to be honest other than being a bit older I haven't changed appearance wise that much. We only ever met on two short occasions but I've never forgotten you (even after what your friends had told me) and about a little speech you gave on one of those occasions, which I was actually quite impressed by and even applauded it. Heck for all I know you may still have that silly little goatee beard these days.

Public speaking? Me? HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAhahahahha. Not in a million years chum. Last time anyone managed to get me to speak to an audience of any sort I was 6.

Quote from: Franko;645286
read it again in context (if you can) you were the one who started with the Blackmail and Extortion BS and in the context in which I replied I merely stated by your own absurd definitions

Absurd definitions?

Quote
From dictionary.com

Blackmail:

5.
to force or coerce into a particular action, statement, etc.: The strikers claimed they were blackmailed into signing the new contract.

You state that because of people like Wayne, you are refusing to donate to the site. You also asked for him to be banned several times in that thread. The clear implication being that with you would be willing to donate once more as and when he left. Obviously given that the two of you have called a ceasefire since then this becomes academic.

Quote from: Franko;645286

Skittyhorpe to me mate is south from where I live...

You have a very odd definition of southern if you view West Yorkshire as such.

Quote from: Franko;645286

I suppose Public speaking is giving it a bit more credit than what it was, as it was more like a boast about some hardware you had donated. Or have you conveniently managed to forget that too...

I remember donating some CD32 games and a copy of OS3.5 for a raffle as well as who won it (Terl on IRC). As far as hardware goes, I think I once gave rockape an 030 accelerator with scsi daughterboard.

But then again, all of this could have been pulled from publicly available sources, not the least of which is this site. Interestingly I don't think I ever had a goatee at the meetings. Sure, it's on Scag's website on my profile picture, but I had a full beard on both occasions I actually visited.

Just to make sure that you've got the right fella, how tall was I and style was my hair when I visited.

what the hell is THIS about?

He's gone back through the archives, dug up the fact that I went to a couple of user group meetings, found my picture on the profile page as well as some of the after show reports and then just made shit up in an attempt to rattle me.

A wonderful act of trolling I must say.

there is nothing vaguely amusing about your assertion...just so you know

Just because people know other people online they think they know all their history so funny,

I don't think Cecilia implied such.

Quote from: Retro_71;645386

Stuff like i have know someone for years online but we never met... funny sorry but you don't know people for a bar of soap just by "meeting" them online since everyone can Post an image of themselves that is far from what is real.

You can learn a whole hell of a lot about a person in terms of character purely from their posts. You would have to be stunningly naive to think someone couldn't construct an accurate general profile of you based on your online actions. Sure, there are those who actively go out of their way to hide themselves, but then again the same could be said of meatspace. I doubt very much that people working with Joseph Fritzl would have thought even for a second he had his daughter locked up in his basement, for example.

Quote from: Retro_71;645386

Basically an claim BY ANYONE say they KNOW someone which they actually haven't meet in real life and spent time with is all BS and kindly refrain from "claiming you know of said person".

But she does, actually. Yes, I do use alternate usernames in different places depending on where I am. But this is and will remain my public profile, it is me, with less shyness. As those who have actually met me in person will happily attest to. So kindly refrain from imposing your ill-conceived beliefs on others and demanding their silence when you clearly don't know shit about it.

Quote from: Retro_71;645386

Basically if you have realiased this by now the internet is a make believe world that you can get anyone to believe what you want them to believe. (yes years or playing runescape and WOW taught me so).

And this is different from meatspace, how exactly? Applying what you learned on a few select online games that deal specifically in fantasy and escapism doesn't automatically translate into the rest of the internet any more than 4chan does.

Quote from: Retro_71;645403
You missed the point obliviously i don't know you or want to you know and i am sure vice versa but basing how someone truly is on what they post well that's too funny, thing is people can post anything they want even if they don't actually believe it to be true and my point still stands unless you know someone face to face how can you truly know them.

Well then, let's test that assumption.

Fortunately we have on this very forum people who have met me in person and those who know me only through my posts.

What I propose is simple:

10 or 15 general questions, along the lines of "what kind of music do I like", that sort of thing.

Now if what you're saying is correct, the replies you get from people who know me online and in real life should be very different from one another.

So, care to test your hypothesis?
