You too huh. Chaos Engine killed a few for me, my local computer shop took them back every couple of weeks but never complained, they still made a couple of quid on every one they sold, returned or not.
The worst ones for me were any joystick that had the firebuttons on the actual pistol grip rather than the base, I could (and did) break them in minutes. I had a joystick for about a year that was similar to the competition pro but the stick itself was slightly longer than the comp pros and the part that connected the base and the stick together didn't protrude quite as much.
As far as the games I played that killed them went, yeah, Chaos Engine bagged a couple, I actually got banned from playing Speedball 2 due to the attrition rate at one point, but the one that destroyed the most was a "Gods" clone whose name I can't remember. Utterly brutal on the controllers.
