Is this a serious question?

No, halvliter'n is one of a recent influx of failtrolls.

I look forward to watching him getting banned again real soon.

Sorry not trolling....this is a pc isn't it ?....although the price appears be to competitive, forgive my lack of googling but what is the benefit of buying this pc rather than going down to asda and buying an "off the shelf" special ?

If you buy one of those Meridian brand PC's from Asda, you genuinely deserve all the hassle you get.

Think eMachines or Compaq or HP in terms of build quality.

You would have to go a long way to try to out shite any of those.

As to a more general statement of "why this and not X brand"... That is a good question. I guess that'd come down ultimately to price/performance/style/support.

If you have a builder who is going out from the beginning to support smaller less used OS's than windows, paying a small premium over a larger manufacturer might be worth it if the support is there.

It'll be interesting to see how they progress.
