I would like to buy a CyberStorm MKiii 68060 accelerator. Not interested in a MKi or ii. Happily pay a fair price for one. Anyone got one they would part with?

Failing that, you could always get one of these.

Thanks for the info, but I'm looking for a MKiii.

If you're intent on the MKiii, your best bet is ebay as they're rarer than hens teeth. Expect to pay silly prices for one as well. The board I pointed you to is every bit as fast as the MKiii and has the advantage of actually being available. But I guess it's your money. Good luck with your search, I think you'll need it.

There are 2 main differences:
1) You can attach Cybervision to CSMKIII = fast RTG card with 3D

That would be the CyberstormPPC and CybervisionPPC. The model previous to that was a Zorro2/3 card that featured a fairly primitive S3 Virge gpu. So far as I'm aware, you cannot attach at CybervisionPPC to anything other than the CyberstormPPC.

SCSI... Good luck finding 4Gb SCSI hard drives these days. You'd be better off investing in a fastATA controller and getting a 4Gb CF card.

--edit--

Was having a wander around the interwebs and found this, thought you might be interested:

For sale (you'll have to contact them beforehand regarding availability I suspect)

Cyberstorm Mkiii
CyberstormPPC

I stand corrected on both - forgot that 3.5/9 allowed for HD's bigger than 4Gbs.
