Bored now
« on: May 06, 2008, 07:41:49 PM »
Back online, finally. Getting life back on track, currently in the middle of building a new desktop (my old one was pinched, long story) so am on here with my eeepc atm.

So how is everyone? I see the tubes didn't crash in my absence, which I can only guess is a good sign.

Oh, and what is everyone upto?

PS Karlos and Gadget rule, if they are ever in your locality, meet them - you won't regret it, not for one moment.

Oh and guys, Noah keeps bugging me about dragging you lot back down here for a zikr.

Ich muss nur lernen, wie zu bitten um Bier, Späne und Torte und ich überleben kann, alles ist sonst überflüssig, indem ich NUR LAUT SCHREIEN MUSS, VERSTANDEN ZU WERDEN!

The original was I only need to know how to get beer, chips and pie to survive, everything else is superfluous, I WILL SHOUT VERY LOUDLY TO MAKE MYSELF UNDERSTOOD.

That last part should be known by any right thinking Englishman

Well, if you shout loud enough at a foreigner, then you bypass the years of foreign language learning and reach the core of their brain which naturally works in English :-)

I'm been real busy with quite a few things lately. I'm currently trying to get OS4 Classic onto a decent hard drive and also getting a PC that I was given up and running. The PC is an an oldie but is 3Ghz with 2gig RAM, Geforce2 MX400, 160GB HDD and will mostly be used for video capture and DVD writing 8-)

Sounds like a nice machine! Am building a new desktop system after my old one was pinched, currently posting from an eeepc I bought to keep me going after the monitor I had went pop.

The system will comprise of an AthlonXP 3200, 1Gb ram, X1600 graphics card and a 160gb hd along with a dvd burner.

Running Elive Linux, of course  :-D

Must thank Karlos for the donation of the mobo/cpu. Without it I'd probably not have bothered even considering building another machine and just handed in my geek card as I picked up a dell system or something.

@Alan,

So you got an eee pc, ey?

I did - that monitor you saw went pop a couple of days after your visit heh.

So sat down, realised that I couldn't get online without an OS (so putting it toward the desktop seemed somewhat premature), remembered the eeepc, found one at PC world and have been using it every since.

Keyboard takes some getting used to though...

And yes, by all means bring the death sauce - one of the guys who regularly does the food here was very interested in trying some... Mwahahahahahahaha  :madashell:
