My friend had her purse stolen the other week - in it she had all her bank cards and due to her never being able to remember numbers, her pin codes...

She got to the bank and canceled them all, she was only 50metres from the bank as it happens... two DAYS later, the bank reported to her that she'd gone overdrawn in her acount, her other account which she also emptied, also had been emptied, in total £240 gone. Her credit card was attempted at, but the card company was on the ball, and the request for £500 was blocked, the card destroyed in the machine.

The bank are dragging their feet over refunding the money for the cards that they should have already canceled. The insurance company is looking into it, but its unlikely to pay.

Either way, her xmas has been well and truly destroyed.
Blessed Be,

That is perhaps the most depressing thing I've ever heard about.
