hmmm...  
Lightwave 3D is going onto version 10...
The OpalVision card has a socket for a "Roaster" chip...

The words "12", "render" and "chip" are supposed hints...

Could it be some sorta replacement "chip" adding "12" additional functions on the VT card to "render" 3D transition wipes in real time?
