Photogenics can also work with large images with it's own VirtualMemory.  The best bet when working with larger graphic files is Photoshop. It would be worth your time to delve into it for a while. Not as intimidating as it may look. I learn something new every time I use Photoshop. Especially at work with an MacG3/os8/250mghz/124ram. Always running out of memory...
