Amiga to PC monitor video adaptor
« on: February 17, 2004, 09:43:02 AM »
I have just bought one of those adaptors off Ebay, most of you will probably have seen it up for grabs. The door bell went at 9am and I recieved it. I wasted no time and tried it out, but the PC monitor is saying: *Attention Signal frequency is out of range, please change signal timing*
Can anyone tell how I'm suppose to do this? I thought you just plugged them in and that was that.

Thanks in advance.

Thankyou, but what I am saying is, I plugged the adaptor in and don't even get a choice to do anything; because its not recognising the connection between the two.
I'll tell ya, I should be in the Amiguiness book of records for the person with the most worst luck. Do I need software to build the connection?

Yeah, I know they won't let you play games. Its just for apps really. So pray tell, What do I need to be able to play ALL the old faves games on my PC monitor? Do I have to get a scan doubler thingymajig contraption?

Right then, I've decided to once again dip into my credit card and go for it. Can anyone please show/tell me the exact one to get? That is the ficker fixer/scan doubler for my 1200 to PC monitor.
I've seen a few on Eyetech but I don't follow their board setup. I click on a specific information picture and the same picture comes up for loads of stuff. The web site wants some time spending on it as its very poorly presented.
They would have had my custom on lots of occasions only for the website being un-navigable. Maybe if they read this they will make improvements.

It seems Eyetech are no longer selling any Scan Doubler/ Flicker Fixers. Where else can you get one of these? Anyone know?

Steven, is there any chance of taking a shot of your monitor screen with your Miggy on? What Screen Mode do you use? I'd like to see how small your icons are.

Thanx

Yes, well I spent 50 years in Parr, St Helens. But have lived in Ashton-in-Makerfield for a number of years.
Are you anywhere near?

Then you might like all these photographs I compliled.
I used to run a site www.sthelensphotographs.co.uk with hundreds of old and new photos which took me years to compile, I have climbed almost every high building and tower in St Helens to get these shots.
If you wish to see them all, you have to join the forum. Its the way it is now set up by the admin to get ppl into the forum.
My favourits are the Then & Nows which I did, I advertise the site on my van with photos transfered onto the rear doors.
Enjoy
Pete
