There are probably some small jumpers and firmware (BIOS) that needs to be changed and updated as well. At least I know this is true for the 040 to 060 conversion. There may be other tricks as well. I just read that when upgrading the Blizzard 2040 to an 060 you must boot WITHOUT any ram installed the first time for the board to update some of the IC's. Some more research might be in order.
