Interesting how people jump to defend Google yet mention Microsoft and it's evil this evil that.

How blind people really are, Google is just as bad as the other big players out there. After all it's about money at the end of the day.

In the early days the internet was a better place, with various search engines and not one big player.

hotbox... altavista... all fantastic. As for Youtube it didn't need Google, it was already a success and as most companies do Google bought it because of that.

The more personal information/technology Google can get the better, it's their bread and butter. Search results, browsing habits and more. All worth a lot for companies wanting to sell their wares and to target advertising.

That's not to say other companies don't do the same. But put the Google name on it and they can do no wrong.

Same can be said for Apple.

As for the title of this thread he's been working for Google since 2012?

As for Google+ I can't get rid of the thing, even though I never signed up for it. It enabled itself, I disabled it via the instructions given and bam the next day it's back. Like a horrible disease. It's right up there with Facebook... At least Facebook allows you to disable/delete it and it doesn't keep coming back, I stopped using Gmail because of Google+.

Also what a great way to get some more search results for Amiga.org :-)

Not to mention being added to friend circles of random people and not being able to remove yourself from them :-/
