A little hard to see the jelly (jello) wobbly screen and the entire screen flashing green really quickly.

Can see the lines and flicking and tearing :-)

@ paul1981 - Have tried a higher quality VGA cable that we use at work. Same deal, it does look like noise of some sort.

I have the Indi earthed to the A500 as per the picture in the brief manual that came with it. It clicks into the socket fine.

Will try replacing the power cords for the monitor and ATX PSU next.

Could it be the power board it's plugged into, which would be weird because it works fine with an S-video adapter and I use it for other computers.

Only noise I can think of nearby is a wireless router and my partners computer, but they're plugged in on a different circuit.

@ Paul1981 - Will try it, it's puzzling wouldn't think it would have such tight requirements. More updates tonight when I get home :-)

@ danbeaver - Amigakit are dealing with Jen's, so have left them to that.

Stay tuned, same bat channel same bat time ;-)

@ammojammo - It is an impressive bit of kit, but yeah I cringed at the price. Took me awhile to save almost thought I had missed out. And it is starting again for the ACA500/ACA1220 ;-)

Anyway doesn't take long for someone to pollute a discussion on here of late. EAB seems to be the new amiga.org. But somehow still seem to be loyal to here.

All good appreciate every ones input.

Anyway, different plug on the wall, different power cords, different power board, same issue :-)

The A500 is back together, lid on still does it. Go back to my s-video adapter and it's fine, a shame as it's much better picture quality with the indi (apart from the wobbling about and screen tear ;-)).

Anyway that's enough for now going to go do something else and come back to it.

Interesting read

http://www.amibay.com/showthread.php?t=32216

Will assume this is the fix they did but I still get the same result as before. So thinking it's still the Indivsion ECS.

Have you tried the new ECS config tool which is available from Individual Computers web site.

Have the latest config tool it doesn't display the screen mode or show any of the settings for the monitor.

The screen does go blank and then comes back when you use the software so I assume it's seeing it.

Even the splash screen of the Indi does it when you first turn on the Amiga.

hi, i've bought just 2 days ago my ECS indivision from a famous web site in germany (!) and it don't work: after the logo about the "great hardware", i get yellow screen (or sometimes red screen) and a600 hangs.
I've noticed a strange fix in the board, i've never seen before on the net, as in the picture attached.... the vendor said it's normal, it's a fix made from the productor, but......
Is only on mine?
Thank you!

Yours already has the fix Aotta :-)

As a side note since the "fix" I have to have a denise in for the mouse to move, buttons still work just can't move the pointer :-)

sounds like it came back worse? with the mouse issue.

Wouldn't recommend buying from the new batch, I didn't know there was an issue. Then again for that sort of money there shouldn't be.

Back to waiting, that's the Amiga world for you though :-)

Did you ever get a chance to test it in an other A500?

This is a 2nd motherboard, so I suppose that counts as a 2nd A500? Don't have any other Amiga's sold most of it off and focused on the A500.

Works fine using the s-video adapter.

I say it's the Indivision ECS, same fault yet worse now since getting it back, now I have to have a Denise chip in the Indivision ECS for the mouse to be able to move.

Remove the Indivision ECS and the A500 is very stable, can't fault it. So big finger pointing back to the Indivision ECS.

Wish I bought from the first batch :-)

You using it without denise? You have to have denise installed.
Only the A600 doesnt need denise.

Currently has the denise installed.

So the mouse is not working, even with denise installed?
As far as I remember it needs denise for certain things on everything except the A600.

No as posted works fine with the denise installed.

Anyway I have purchased a standard A500 revision 6A board, just waiting for it to turn up so we'll see how that goes :-)
