As some of the people around here would say, "Nah, you don't need anything past 3.1, because all it is, is a bunch of fluff" Well too me OS 3.9 is nice.
As a more important note, thank you very much to your service to your country. Very few people will admit to that, but I admire it (as an ex-military brat myself).
