When people say they won't use their Amiga as their main machine I'm a little puzzled as to why this is...
Probably because alot of use don't have very expensive Amiga setups. I mean my 4000's only have a 68040/40 still in them followed by my 2000 with the 68020/whatever is in that one.
My XBox box was nice for some games, but the developers had to dumb down quite a few of the games to fit in the 64 megs of memory that is shared with everything else in the system. Before my last motherboard went poof, I was sitting pretty with at least 768megs of memory dual channel, with a agp 8x video card with it's own memory. Add on that I had at least 200GB's plus of storage and it far beat my XBox for complexity.
