Install OS 3.9 from CD without 3.1 already on Amiga?

I have booted off the 3.1 install Workbench floppy.  I have the 3.9 CD.  Can I mount the 3.9 CD without installing 3.1 so I can install 3.9 directly to HD?  How can this be done?  Thanks.

Where's the CD-ROM driver...on the CD?????
