Well knowing nothing about your CPU board, but being a storage person ... if you are sure that those resistors are the terminators then yes if you remove them then you will probably achieve the desired effect.

Personally what I would do is take them off and then put in some sockets to replace them .. that way if it doesn;t work as planned you can just put in some replacements .. as well as give yourself a bit more flexibility.
