floppy drive problem
« on: August 15, 2010, 03:13:13 PM »
I had plugged the floppy cable wrong way, and the LED was lit. So, I reversed it and the drive reads the diskette, but the motor is *always* on :(((
did I break it?

edit: it seems both drive and motherboard are fine, but I need to jumper it as DS1. the drive is JU-363, how to do it?

oh, but this drive is Matsushita JU-363. also it looks like original Amiga floppy drive.

anyway, there is a df1:, too and its 5,25" drive.
so I set 5,25" as DS1.

now ju363 works excelent, motor stops and all. but 5,25" is not seen. I need to check the cable twist.
J301 is set.

I'd like to keep 3,5" as DS0 for obvious reasons.

both drives were in this old and rusty A2000 when i bought it (second hand). Now, I want to restore it to original state but cant remember how it was connected.
