switch and UDP

(somewhat offtopic, sorry..)

can a network switch work with UDP traffic?

lets say I got 3 UDP streams (3 video streams coming from encoders, each 8Mbit/s), can I use a switch->media converter->media converter->switch->3xreceivers to decode them?
