I had an idea after those problems with bad smell. How about turning the PSU fan so that it takes air from outside and blows it into Amiga? That way we could put some filters on it to stop dust from comming inside.
IIRC some ATX PSU used such design.
Temperature probably wouldn't be a big problem as Amiga doesn't heat up a lot?

I see. But, the smell would be less concentrated, right?
Why don't you use elastic, rubber band for keeping wires together?
