The user base is probably about that at current, but the "Watcher" base is probably 10 times that amount. That would be the number of people waiting to see if anything ever happens. If OS4 has a good run and AmigaOne's sell over 1000, that's the day I'll buy one. Not because I want to do what everyone else is doing, but because it needs to do at least that good to have any kind of lasting support....BREATH.....
It's not a matter of cost, it's just good business. If it cost $1500 I'm still sure if it's good enough that I can manage to group at least a dozen people in locally to buy theirs too. But none of them have bought an Amiga since the early 90's, or posted on Amiga.org.
