Blatent price fixing on Amiga Ebay Auction
« on: June 07, 2005, 06:21:42 AM »
I was really interested in this CDTV on EBay and was going to bid:

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5202632217&ssPageName=ADME:B:WN:AU:1

However in the last hour the price jumped from $60 to over $200. Check the bid history:

http://offer.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&item=5202632217

This aukcjemk was registered today and blatantly inflated the price, hmmmm dodgy.

Does anyone know how I can report this auction to Ebay?

Given that the CDTV is quite rare downunder (I've only ever seen two) I'm surprised it didn't go for more.

Well, I emailed the seller about whether or not it works and he said:

Sorry I can't verify whether it works - that's why I'm selling 'as is'
with a starting price of just $1.........

So perhaps the other interested buyers also emailed him and worn't going to to risk the punt.
