Weird IDE and Mouse problem on a1200
« on: December 11, 2003, 09:09:08 PM »
Hi Guys,

I'm hoping someone can helpme out on this one...
I'm towering up an A1200 at the minute and all was going well until I bought the EIDE99 4-way buffered interface from PowerC.
I plugged the adapter into the IDE port, plugged a hard disc into the the primary port and booted into workbench to configure everything.

Now, the problem... the mouse buttons work BUT the ball doesnt move the pointer around the screen?

If I unplug the EIDE interface the mouse works fine.  I've tried replacing the hard drive with a CD-ROM to no avail.

The mouse is one of the old Wizard 3 button ones.

Any ideas would be helpful.

Cheers.

Thanks for the reply.  Sorry, forgot to mention that.  I tried my mouse from an old broken a1200.  That does the same :(
