I just wanted to make a team for this group.  It's not a competitive thing, just a friendly group.  I also didn't want to link to a company.  This is a club, not a company.  SETI@Home does make a distinction when you create the group.   :-)

You install the console version for "UNIX" like systems and there is an Xwindows app that monitors progress for you.  The client itself is a shell app.  It's faster than the GUI version anyway.  :-)  They have binary versions for almost all linux, FreeBSD, Solaris, etc.  I personally use the Linux, Wintel, and Solaris versions right now.  It runs at the lowest priority so it wont interfere too much with higher level apps.
