If you have a VT4000, I'm interested. I'm in metro Atlanta

I've posted this before, but for those who've not seen it this is an extra that I made for my toaster/flyer setup.

there seems to be an aging component issue to this

First and foremost suspects... old capacitors. More than half the time replacing them cure old "twitchy" circuits. Also stock Amiga power supplies weren't always up the the task of running a toaster system that might also be running TBCs, memory expansions, cpu cards. Factor in age, and it's probably time to repair/replace/upgrade that old supply. And again... that PS has old caps.

I see the VT4000 has many tantalum caps. (small yellow rounded candy looking things) Those go bad also causing issues. Then of course chips themselfs can break down and not much you can do there.

Newtek had "lifetime warranty" on all the equipment. Have you ever asked them about sending it in for a check up?

Not being the original purchaser of my equipment, I would tread lightly with Newtek. .

No need. It's hardware based not owner based. Newtek themselves told me to register the cards in my name then open an RMA. Now this was a few years ago, but I did this for my malfunctioning flyer card and they repaired it for free. They also said they would continue to honor these warranties as long as they had parts/resources to do so. Time may have already run out, but worth a try.

Yippee.... Thanks for wasting my time..........

Isn't that kind of a double negative on an Amiga site?
Oh well more for the rest of us.

For the price you're asking, I would take an untested Flyer. Some pictures showing the condition would help.

Same goes for me on a T4000, though your indicate some of those do work. Of course you would need to hang on to one until the the flyers are checked.

On the other two, it is just the raw card, no cables, so you will have to have your own or make one.

I'm fine with a card only vt4000. I don't need the cable.
