At over 3hrs per board you can appreciate after he'd done 2-3 he realised how futile the idea was and gave up.
And that's probably being conservative on time. With experience and using basic tools on my bench, I would expect it to take a day or two working at it non-stop to assemble, test and probably complete some bug tracking. I don't have that kind of free time though, so my build will be an hour here and there spread out over serveral weeks.
Of course if you have more expensive equipment and can do more that one board at a time, I could see getting serveral done a day. Few of us have access to those kind of toys though.
