Brand power for "Commodore" should definitely be a plus. But I see a small difference between CBM brand and Amiga. "Commodore" effectively completely disappeared from the market place and the minds of users for years. Now the comeback happens and all those old users get nostalgic and at least look if not buy. "Amiga" on the other hand has been showing up "drunk to the party" ever since CBM went bankrupt.

A more likely reaction to a lackluster Amiga re-launch would be "Oh no, here comes that Amiga kid again." We've seen the evidence of that attitude even on slashdot. "Amiga" brand could be made a plus. But it would take a serious and intelligent plan to over come years of false starts.

A marketing plan with the latest tech lingo and some humor might help.

It sounds classy for the multi-core crowd of course. And though it's a very crude translation, us "old timers" can appriciate the name. :-)
