@klesterjr
BTW, among other things, I have an SX64 -- the last time I fired it up, the display was "scrambled" -- it would still load programs, etc.
Another C64 junkie here.
As for your SX64, sounds like one of your memory chips has rolled over. I've repaired dozens like it in my way back 8bit days. Unfortunatly the memory chips are soldered in. If socketed chip resets don't do it for you, then break out the solder iron and start putting the mem chips is sockets to test and replace. If you need more help just ask. I still have parts and schematics.
I'm as bad as the rest of you, I have 64's and 128 of every version, including an SX and 128D. 2 years ago I even began working on a C coded project to make into a novelty cartridge release. I finished my first project "Lottery64" that will let your 64/128/vice/frodo 'hopefully' pick winning numbers in any conceivable lottery game out there. (I hoped it would work for me and I could retire to make more carts

Then I was going to do a small cart game. The lotto works great, but I never got past plannning stages of the game. If anyone cares, maybe I'll try to post some screen shots of the lotto.
