I've installed several games through apt-get so i assume they're open source...
*tuxpuck - clone of shuffle puck cafe - if i remember that correctly
*Abuse - Awsome kill aliens and stuff
you'r a little man with an array of weaponry !! very good!
*Xevil - also a very good game, of which my avatars are made
basicly you'r a random character that has to kill over characters, not suitable for children as it has the odd reference to strangle your cat, take drugs... and you can sell your soul for an extra life and also gain powers to sumon deamons
but its a fantastic game!
Theres many more, including some i cant installed because my system is very minimal! But theres some great games out there that use Mesa/OpenGL. I'd love to see some one the Amiga, infact i was going to start thread similar to this last week but couldnt be bothered!
You've also got the scrolling space shootem ups and space invaders clones shuch as XSolder, Galaga and a few tetrix like games that are cool... Theres so many open source games... Also note, Xevil and Abuse are kinda like old Amiga games
so i find them cool in that way too!
Also, you cant forget Xbill... In this game you have to stop all the bill gates from infecting the linux/unix/macos servers/computers with Windows
To do that you just kill all the gates characters... If some get infected and catch on fire, you've also got some water handy to put it out!
