Those are damn sexy icons. But you called it the Glow revolution. I thought we might be getting 32/24bit glow icons :)

Is that type of stuff even possible with png? Im not sure how the whole icons thing is implemented in AmigaOS. Can you click these PNG icons and have it change the image of the icon in any sort of way?

I use "Glow revolution" name because i will new life for classic glow icons.

So these are the high resolution classic glow icons but with out the second picture when you click?

I love these icons.

What is weird is that PNG was made as a replacement for GIF wasnt it? So, shouldnt PNG support animation, and if so, you should be able to have a second picture.

Maybe the powericons path hasnt been made to support that yet?

That's just my 30 cents...

Thats a good 30c, thanx!

Prolly the reason for MNG not being supported as much is due to the near expiroring or already expired GIF patent. Thats right, GIFs are legal or soon to be legal for use again because the copywrite/patent expires.

This could also lead to the demise of PNG, although it has a pretty strong following and wide support. But GIF does offer a little more in the way of animation.

BTW i think MNG support in OS4 or Morphos would be good. Also maybe instead of embedding the image within the actual icon, the image can be stored else where and referenced so that it can be used multiple times and takes up less space and so that a new format doesnt have to be implimented. Maybe icons could be simple XML files in the future simply refering to an image of any type and then using datatypes and a program to view the image with in Workbench.
