The graphix system, which is currently p96, in OS4, is being given an overhaul. That is, the AG2 system that fleesy has talked about will be put into it. The things like a new workbench, or updated one and a new icon system can take advantage of the new graphix system.
I believe this is correct. This may be planned for 4.1, but we'll prolly see all that in 4.2 and more.
