MUI PPC ugraded!

Correct me if im wrong, but OS4 will come with a version of MUI. I cant remember if it'll be 68k or PPC. Does anyone know?

Also, this latest PPC MUI update, is still developed by a third party isnt it? That is, its not Genesi's product right?

Does that mean, later versions of MUI will be avaliable for AmigaOS4x Maybe OS4 wont need it anymore since i think Intuition will continualy be updated?

That sounds great ... Having said that, i think its a good idea to chase those people for interviews that dont normaly get noticed as much as the Bens, Fleecys and BBRV's,  but make a huge impact on the community anyway.

I'd love to more out about MUI and its creator/maintainer....

Actualy, whilst you mentioned interviews, i think i'd love to hear from the current maintainers of Envoy. Im pretty sure i know who the distributors are, but who maintians this awsome product that so many know very little about (including me)? I had a look on the web for envoy, heaps of pages, but nothing that leads me to the maintainers... only sellers... So, yer, those two would be awsome as interviews...

Indeed, MUI is not a Genesi product, the OS4 team has access to the latest sources of MUI and will be integrated in OS4 for (backwards) compatibility.

Intuition & ReAction will be boith greatly enhanced, but there are a lot of appz out there who need MUI, IBrowse for example which is shipped as part of OS4.

I was aware of the backwards compatibility, thanx for reminding me. But are you sure Hyperion or anyone else has access to the sources and that a PPC version of MUI will be making its way for OS4?

I was under the impression that, MUI wasnt very important, and its only for backwards compat, so they would include the 68k version. That way, they support MUI apps, but they dont have to put any resources into it!!! Thats what i thought anyway. Im a bit cloudy over that however.

MUI is a large part of MorphOS no doubt, but MUI doesnt (or at least i wouldnt think it would) make up any of the source code of Morphos. MUI is a third party applciation/library, which is used by MorphOS as its primary graphix/drawing lib...

MUI is what intiution/reaction is to AmigaOS, only, intuition and reaction arnt third party tools/apis and MUI is. Its supplied by someone to morphos who is outside of the Genesi organisation.

So im guessing a few people (including hyperion) could have access to the sources.

If that other guy (forgot your name) is true when he says the feature list say there will be a native version of the latest MUI, then, sounds like hyperion does have access to it. Possible? Yes, cause its not the morphOS source, its the MUI source!
