Are you sure you are using AmiTCP?  Maybe you are using Miami ?  Or one of the other TCP stacks?

And if you post a copy of this startnet script for us to look at we might be able to figure out the problem.

I use Miami too.  Seems nice and friendly.  And I love their developer documentation.

But just so u know, Miami Deluxe is a lot faster and has some new features like PPPOE.
