Kickstart is the ROM chip that contains the core of the OS.
Oktalyzer is very very very old and the programmer did not seem to fully understand all the best techniques of coding on the Amiga. So either your version is a buggy version and you could try to find a different version of Oktalyzer or your version works perfectly when used on a specific Kickstart version.
Oktalyzer was not all that popular and didn't get a lot of support like other trackers did. This is sad. As I said, I never had a version that worked correctly back in the old days. I am thinking it only works correctly on a very specific hardware configuration.
Most other trackers work on whatever hardware configuration you happen to have.
If u r on a quest to explore all of the Amiga's tracker formats then you will need to mortgage the wife and sell the kids because you won't be coming back for a few years.

I have an oktalyzer replay routine in my game (available free on the internet) but the replay routine does not even work on modern CPU's even though it got updated! Argh! I really wanted to support oktalyzer mods because a friend gave me some to put in the game. But I can''t because the replay routine is borked.
