Total Chaos fits the bill (many players and so on)
An awful lot of people who play Total Chaos are playing as Father-Son or Grampa-grandkids or boyfriend-girlfriend or brother-brother. It just sounded like the kind of thing you might like.
but the story is not in space?
Outer Space was intentionally destroyed during Total Chaos: WWI (Wizard War I). The Swedonian Empire destroyed space to prevent von Braun, Supreme Imperial Overlord of the Germaniac Empire from escaping to another planet and eventually conquering the universe. :destroy:
The thing is... as it turns out... space was holding up the entire 3rd dimension. So when they destroyed space, the 3rd dimension collapsed. :roflmao:
All that is left of the universe now is flat 17x14 grid of square cells which just coincidentally is the exact size of an Amiga monitor. :lol:
