Awesomely said!!!
As you can tell by my user rating, I dont spend a lot of time on Amiga forums. As such, some of you may dismiss my opinion, which is fine.
I dont even own and Amiga anymore, I sold the last of them in January this year, putting an end to my interst in the hardware aspect of the platform. After 15 years of happy ownership I would prefer to see someone else explore and enjoy them rather than pace them in storage.
I must admit my interest in Amiga in the last few years has become nothing more than morbid curiosity mixed with a rapidly deminishing sense of nostalgia.
Presently, I have absolutely no interest in buying back into the scene.
The only light for me has been the open and generous way in which the AROS crew have conducted themselves. Anyone with a CD burner and an internet connection can actually try the OS for free, no expensive, proprietary hardware lock-outs, no grubbing over old IP rights. Its early days yet, but this is where my time and money will go in the future.
It's very unlikely, people being what they are, and Amiga nuts being perhaps a bit too passionate despite themselves. But, what you guys need to do is rally together and print a T-shirt/Banner/Logo that is simply RED, GREY and BLUE.
"The united colours of AMIGA"
All the best, and much as I do like a little drama, I also kinda hope it all works out.
