Toastscan behavior question
« on: May 18, 2006, 08:48:40 PM »
Alright, so I got my Toast Scan and cocolino+scroll mouse in the mail today.  Very pleased with both.  However, I noticed some odd behavior, and I don't know if this is software or hardware.

I started the "reboot and start" version of Slam Tilt, and the "loading" screen came up jittery and blurring, and also the menu screen was blurry.  then the table screen came up and it was fine.  Then I went back to the menu, and it was fine from then on.  Is there some setting I should change to avoid the wierd behavior?

Your theory is solid.  I had just pulled it out of the box, so yes, it may have needed to warm up.  I'm at work now but I left the machine on.  I'll bet it's fine when I get home :)

I did not know scandoublers had a warmup behavior.  Add that one to experience :)

I'm thinking it's probably not a power draw problem.  Before I started any of this I rewired a brand new 350W ATX power supply for use with my miggy.  It works perfectly and I get no screen dimming at all.
