Commodore Amiga Game: "MindWalker" – WTB or WTT
« on: September 08, 2004, 09:55:53 PM »
I’m looking to buy or trade for a decent boxed copy of the Amiga game “MindWalker”, published by Commodore.

If interested, I can trade any one of the following:

US $50
Microillusions Turbo (disk only, sorry)
Amiga 2000 stock 030 accelerator with math chip and RAM
Amiga 2000 XT bridgeboard
Amiga 2000 stock CBM RAM card
Amiga 500 w/KCS Powerboard PC emulator and ROM switcher with 1.2/2.04
1942 monitor in fair condition
Boxed Phillips/Magnavox/Commodore 1084S monitor in good condition
Amiga 1200 for parts (bad drive, disassembled)
Small Xbox LCD portable screen
Boxed lot of misc original Amiga games (boxed or unboxed)

The only catch is that I’d like the item “COD” or “Trade on Delivery”, if from somebody I don’t know.  You can check out my eBay rating (ebay name also FastRobPlus) to see that I keep any agreement I make for sales or trades.

PM me if interested!
Thanks!
Rob

You can find a Mindwalker loose disk on eBay, or get it from amiga.org users if you ask.  I'd expect to pay $5-$10 tops for it.  Also, like Castellen says, it's part of Amiga forever, along with the classic game "Ports of Call."

When Red was liqidating his Amiga Forever 6.0 stock last month, I bought a couple copies so I can play these classics on my Windows box.

Yeah, I collect ST too.  But I'm not sure what games on the ST should be considered "MUST HAVE" for a retro game collector.  So far, I have NIB Starglider, since this is Jez San's masterpiece, and the ST version is the original version.  I also have NIB "MIDI Maze", as I think it's impact on gaming history is underrated, but is starting to become more apparent.
I think I need to add "Captain Blood" and "Time Bandit".  I'd also like to get Tanglewood again, not to collect, but to play!

Yeah, I think Amiga Forever did a great job at getting MW.  That plus the ohter games already included are worth the price of the whole package.

The reason I paid so much for a boxed copy was for my collection.  The Amiga is still modern enough that most games can be found, but a good condition boxed copy of Mindwalker has become astoundingly rare lately.

My understanding based on what other collecotrs have said is that MW had a very limited run as a boxed game, and after that it was included as a disk with stripped down docs bundled inside many Amiga 1000 computers.

Anyway, I have finally completed my hunt for the oldest original Amiga 1000 items.

If anybody wants to part with unusual A1000 perfirerals, such as Zorro II expansions, kickstart eliminators, etc, - shoot me a PM, and I'll trade any Amiga 500, 2000, or 1200 gear I have for 'em!
