>>are not happy with microsoft windows and want an alternative, only today in the paper I saw PCs being sold bundled with a Linux OS...

Not sure what that has to do with Amiga.  Without startng an OS flamewar, I don't come to this site to look for or to discuss Windows alternatives.

I think I might be in a growing majority of people who remember classic Amiga very fondly, and want to relive some of the fun from those days.

Anyway, I'll stop posting on every thread as soon as my bar changes from "Beginner" to the more accurate "Hobbyist"

@Dalamar,

>>Amiga arrived. I never could afford to get into the Amiga hard core, but now I can and I'm enjoying every minute of it.

Yeah, I've done that too.  I'll buy stuff on a whim now becuse I wanted it sooo bad when I was younger and broke-er.

I bought a Fargo dyesub printer for 50 bucks the other day.
And a Pontiac Fiero GT (just sits in the garage)
And 1 of each major PC from around 1977 onward.

If Amiga.org actually knew me, they would just set my bar to "Too much caffeine" and lock it there for good.

I know that's what you meant, and I hope you are incorrect when you say this is the part of Amiga.org that's "on the rise."

I've occasionaly gone to Amiga.org in years past, and been really turned off from it becuase it's so pro-Linix, and assumes an Ani-Microsoft attitude is ingrained in every user, etc.

I'm not interested in any of that.

I want to talk with 68K Amiga users, collectors, and gamers from the old days.

...and find a boxed copy of Mind Walker.

Grr.... why is it so hard to find?  It's not supposed to be rare!
