Space Gun by Ocean supports the Phaser.  I saw it on eBay once or twice but did not buy because gun games are only fun on a large television, and the copies of Space Gun I've seen were all PAL.

Hi all,

I own a Trojan Phaser gun for 'duck-hunt'-like games.
I have no idea where the original games that came with it are.

Which games support the Trojan Phaser gun and are there still games available (PD, download, buy)...??

Please help as I like playing with this lightgun but with no guns...

Light guns work based on the refesh rate of a CRT.  An Amiga lightgun would look for a 25 or 30hrz refresh rate, which is way lower than modern VGA monitors, or scan-doubled Amigas.
Some modern lightguns take scanrates into account, but many still do not.  For example, the MadCatz gun for Xbox only works when the Xbox and TV are set to 480i.

I just tried with my Atari XE light gun and my 20" VGA monitor.  It interacts to some extent, but it drifts in and out of accuracy... Maybe if the scanrate was *exactly* double that of NTSC it wold stay accurate?

>>As a matter of fact the Trojan Phaser DOES work on my A4000 with VGA monitor, but is not very accurate.
But it wroks and I'm happy now
