My 2 cents of '€' :
I did many deals with Jim, and I live ... in France.
But I took care to ask him not to send in some holidays periods !
During these periods, customs get mad and open lots of packet without care. And can retain the content if it doesn't complain with the EU "environemental" rules such as RoHs and don't contact the concerned people.
Also during these periods, "post services" are overloaded and use saisonal workers, and packets are shocked, damaged, and sometimes lost or got their "new" references (all packets got new "local" references when they arrive) wrong....
Take care about what you declare on the green sticker too... the highier it's, highier is the risk of problems in the chain ...
A new "wave" is the neighbourg delivering, the packet is delivered at one of your neighbourg because you are not there, without leting you a clue of their passage...
Lets hope that you are not at war with a neighbourg like mine ...
An another "wave" is not to put a "passage/contact" paper when you are absent.
So no way to retrieve it... And depending of the country, it is returned after 5 or 14 days in the best solution if you have took an insurance for return, but if not, it's destroyed or given or reselled ...
If you have to ship internationaly, take a "look" on local "annuaire" such as pageblanche.fr/118712.fr to check the address. You can also ask for a print of it's ID card.
USPS can't track well enough international package as in time.
Only FedEx, EMS/Chronopost, UPS can.
Jim, if you have some problems with french guys you can contact me.
