which firmware upgrade did you put ?
do you know got access to the BPPC "bios" menu with ESC key at startup ?

You can also try to install MorphOS PowerUP :
http://powerup.morphos-team.net/

Install it on a fresh and clean HDD, using only "FFS" that come with WB3.1 !
That must work. All the drivers are already into.
