Voltage to the PPC is not a problem since I am using a modified 400 watt PC PSU, and have an extra power adapter across to the floppy drive power connector

I have found lot of actual PSU that don't bring enought for +5v ! :-o
Have you tried to power the CPU FAN directly by the psu ?
Why don't you upgrade your ram ? Effy is still selling 128mb memory modules. I have nearly no ram problem since i put the max of ram on my bppc.
Do you have upgraded the bppc firmware ?
What are the "Eyecandy" you run ?
