If you do not have any external devices, then yes, you need to terminate the external end of the Fastlane as well. First, look on the Fastlane for three passive resistor packs near the external port. If you don't know what those are, look at
this picture from the Big Book of Amiga Hardware. The three blue thingies are the resistor packs. If you already have them, you're set. If not, you are better off buying an external terminator and plugging that into the Fastlane.
