Humppa, you're right. It won't break the barrier. I've got a bunch of these things sitting around waiting for the scrap pickup. Leftovers from the old PC days, if you will. Anyhow, a good example was an old Pentium motherboard. I could put several of these stackers in it and load it up with ram, but it would not recognize more than 64MB. Turns out 64MB was the motherboard's address limit.
They were very useful, though, in helping reach those limits using cheaper, smaller simms. I loved 'em.
