I got my first Amiga, an A1000 in 1987 and had loads of fun, but I must say that my greatest memory of my Amiga was shortly after upgrading to an A2000 and installing a Supra 2400zi modem. Once I connected to my first BBS it was like opening up a whole new world (not to mention all that pirate software,

). A close second on the list has to be booting for the first time using a harddrive. I bought a SCSI controller at World of Amiga in NYC ('90 or '91) and then had to wait to replenish my savings in order to afford the $550CAD for a Quantum 105 MB hard drive. Yeah I know, I could buy a whole new computer for that amount today, but oh it was sweet to turn that baby on and not have to wait more than 10 seconds.
