I had a similar problem with 3.1 ROMs for an A1200. I have bought three sets in all; each from a different source; all sold as specifically for A1200. Each set disables the PCMCIA slot so it would seem that they are not A1200 but are they A4000? I don't know. I would be happy to sell you one set for £15 if you are interested in trying them out and will refund if don't work (minus postage). Of course, if someone knows of a specific way of identifying them?
