Re: Question on Shipping heavy Amiga?

When I first received my 4000 (towered in a HUGE all steel case) it
was in many pieces. I guess the guys who handled it along the way were
angry about having to deal with such a heavy box.

When I sold it, my well trusted local PakMail guy told me to send it
UPS, because Fed Ex wouldn't deal with that big a box. Although VERY
carefully packled, it once again arrived at it's new owner's in
pieces.

I don't think it really matters whether it goes ground or air. You
still have people handling an oversize, heavy box at many points along
the way, and they aren't going to care what's in it. They're only
going to care that the hard work ruined their day.(based on info from
my son who used to work at a large UPS hub.)

Good luck!
