Always use a chipextractor when changeing socketed PLCC chips. Never use a screwdriver to force the chips out as the chances of brakeing the sockets (and therefore rendering the whole board useless) this way are quite high.
Maybe you can utilise lockpicks to pull the chips out.
Not really interesting, but it`s there.
