X-surf 3cc network card
« on: February 18, 2010, 05:03:00 AM »
Has anyone here used this card?
I noticed on Amigakit.com there are 3 photos.
The one up top shows extra conections.
Does anyone know what they are for and why the bottom photos do not have them?
Thanks.

I am thinking of doing an A500 Zorro Hack and wanted to put the computer on a network. I hope to expand the idea to two slots.
I put a 3.1 rom in it to do external booting, I am a bit rusty on how an A500 boots from cd or hd.
I hope the 68000 is fast enough for the job.
Thanks for the reply.

From the web site, "26-pin expansion port just like Buddha/Catweasel Z-II controllers "
what can I use this for?
Thanks.

Thanks.
edit:
Someone was looking for a way to get an A500 online.
Amigakit has a clock port board that fits under the  cpu.
He would need a serial to ethernet converter.
clockport to serial and serial to ethernet or clockport to usb and then usb to ethernet.
This is probably expensive.
I have seen some but do not know how they work.
If mpdos had ethernet capabilities, that would be nice or hook an A500 to an old pc.
